Originally designed with Mary Maxim Starlette yarn which offered 190 yds per skein at the time. We highly recommend Mary Maxim Starlette yarns (now with 180 yds) for best results but, with today's selections of worsted yarns you can truly make this your own. Shopping List for both: MC Green (1), CC1 Red(1), CC2 Black (70 yds), CC3 White (35 yds), CC4 Yellow (35 yds), CC5 Grey (35 yds), CC6 Pink (35 yds), CC7 Brown (35 yds), CC8 Blue (35 yds), and knitting needles size U.S. 8 (5 mm). Measures 22" when completed. Intermediate knit. Make them for your family to treasure for a lifetime!

I’m making a marled throw for my g-grandson holding two strands Premier Colorfusion DK yarn. I’m using a yarn strand from each end of the skein to develop the marled design. The throw in the Blue Jean color is turning out perfect for a 12yr old boy. I’ve added stripes of different colors every 12 rows throughout the throw.
The Premier Colorfusion Dk yarn is soft & nice to work with. I recommend this yarn.

I’ve always loved MM stocking kits…I’ve made over 10 pairs!! I modified these just a bit…I don’t like duplicate stitching with white…never ends up looking neat and nice.

Given that this pattern's one of the older ones, the amount of detail provided in it is surprisingly robust. As a caveat to anyone who prefer full-colour colour charts, this pattern does not provide that. It also doesn't provide any information about how to handle this much colourwork without encountering issues, but there are probably hundreds of YouTube videos to consult on Intarsia that even a total beginner could reference with success; this is why I've listed this as an "Intermediate" level pattern. Otherwise, I'd say it was up to modern standards.
