The Quick & Cozy Blanket is worked diagonally from corner to corner, easily taking the knitter from a garter stitch pattern through a stocking stitch pattern and through an eyelet stitch pattern, a sequence repeated from beginning to end, all while working increases along the edge during the first half and decreases along the edges during the second half.
Measuring a cushy 50" square, the Quick & Cozy Blanket allows for a loved one to curl up under it and stay toasty warm now and throughout the years. As a bulky weight yarn, Mary Maxim Titan yarn gives beautiful definition to the simple stitch patterns in this blanket and using it shows off the wonderful yarn as well as the stitches.

I’m making a marled throw for my g-grandson holding two strands Premier Colorfusion DK yarn. I’m using a yarn strand from each end of the skein to develop the marled design. The throw in the Blue Jean color is turning out perfect for a 12yr old boy. I’ve added stripes of different colors every 12 rows throughout the throw.
The Premier Colorfusion Dk yarn is soft & nice to work with. I recommend this yarn.

It arrived in a different color than what I ordered, which wasnt a big deal. But then there wasnt enough yarn to finish the blanket so I had to cast off before it was finished so it has an odd shape and is not true to size. Pretty bummed

I’ve been buying yarn from Mary Maxim since the late 1950’s. Most of the yarn receive now is made in Turkey and has several knots per skein. Not worth my time. I don’t think I will buy from you anymore.

Do you mind giving me some more information about the yarn you received. Industry standard allows up to three joins per skein. Did your skeins contain more than that?

I've made this afghan before, using different colours, made it for my son, but I misplaced the pattern so decided to get another kit. I'm not fond of the yarn Mary Maxim suggests (Titan) in the pattern and is included in the kit. Titan yarn skeins are too small for the size of tarn and I don't like the feel of it, so I'll be using a different yarn to make it.

Pros: A very easy pattern and it is a very warm, snuggly blanket when finished. I have made it twice.
Cons: It gets very heavy as it increases in size, so I would suggest making it in the cooler weather! It would be better if the skeins were double in size, so you don't have to tie in so many. The kit comes with 17 skeins. The 1st time I was short about 1/2 skein and Mary Maxim sent me another skein at no cost to me. The 2nd time I had just about enough, since I tried doing a new way of tying in the skeins.

I have enjoyed knitting this blanket, it’s an easy pattern yet enough variety in stitches to keep it interesting. I did run short of yarn and had to order more so hopefully I have enough to finish.
This is a very nice pattern I just wish that Mary Maxim would include enough yarn in the kit to finish the project. I just put in my second order of 3 additional skeins and I'm hoping that will finish the pattern. Very discouraging . . .
This is my second blanket using the Quick and Cozy pattern. The first was to be for me, but my husband liked it so much, I gifted it to him. This one is for me!

I had already bought this kit previously in another colour . I really enjoyed making it . But I found out that I did have enough balls of yarn to complete it . I don’t know if it was my fault . I haven’t started this kit yet and will be anxious to see if I have enough yarn . It’s a easy pattern to knit and I really like the pattern .

Easy pattern to work with. Yarn is very nice also. This was the second one I did in this pattern and yarn.
I ended up short of yarn by about 2-3 feet. Apparently you can’t tie your ends long like I tend to do to get the knot where I want it. Be careful to tie short or grab an extra skein from the start.
