Originally knit with Mary Maxim Knitting Worsted yarn, which had 260 yards per 4-ounce skein at the time. With a wide variety of worsted-weight yarns available today, there are endless possibilities when using this pattern. Keep in mind that yardage may differ. Materials List All Sizes: MC (20 oz), Lt Grey (4 oz), Dk Grey (4 oz), Black (4 oz), if main color isn't white (5 yds). Also, requires knitting needles size U.S.5 (3.75 mm) and 8 (5 mm). Fits sizes 38-40-42-44—Intermediate knit.
Stitch Requirements: cast on, cast off, fair isle knitting, colored pattern knitting method, knit, purl, repeat, increase, decrease, stockinette stitch.

I have been working on this project for the last week and am really enjoying it. The pattern is easy to follow and it is coming out nicely. I would just suggest that for the gold thread, use a little clear nail polish on the ends to keep it from unraveling
I started the afghan the same day my crochet club kit arrived and I finished it...working on and off...in about 3 days!
