I had a great experience with Mary Maxim customer service. One of the yarns in my recent order was splitting quite a bit while I was working with it. I honestly thought it might just be one of those chances you take with yarn, but I called to ask about it.
The customer service representative was so nice and told me the yarn should not be separating like that. They sent me a replacement without making the process difficult at all. First time ordering a surprise color and I was pleasantly surprised with the color. I made myself a fun sun hat for the beach. It’s floppy so my next one will use some wire for the edge but I still think it’s cute

I’m still pretty new to using cotton yarn, and I really love the speckled colors in Premier Cotton. The little pops of color are so cute in finished projects and make even simple patterns look extra fun. It’s easy to work with, has nice stitch definition, and works great for the hats, dishcloths, and other cotton projects I’ve been making. I’ll definitely keep buying the speckles!

I made this for a friend, he loved it and put it on his front door immediately. To strengthen it up a little I glued Popsicle sticks on the back of the welcome portion then stitched those two pieces together. I hid the back by gluing poster board on the back so people could not see the Popsicle sticks. It is an easy pattern to follow, and plenty of yarn to finish it.

Yarn was very thin and shredded easily. For maroon yarn, I had about 6" left and I made no errors, so that is cutting it close.
