This downloadable pattern will guide you in creating a beloved afghan with our picture-graph style design! Utilizing the tunisian or afghan crochet stitch, the delightful image is then cross-stitched on top.The finished dimensions are 48 x 68" (122 x 173 cm), making it the perfect addition to any child's room decor. Originally created in 1960 with Mary Maxim Mellowspun or Mellowmist, it had 420 yds per skein. We suggest using Mary Maxim's Mellowspun DK Sportweight yarn for optimum results. Keep in mind, yardages have changed. Materials List: MC (36 oz.), CC1-White (4 oz), CC2 Dress/Leaves (80 yds), CC3 Brown (60 yds). CC4 Hair/flower center (25 yds), CC5 Red (25 yds), CC6 Lt Grey (20 yds), CC7 Skin tone (15 yds), CC8 Shoes (10 yds). Also requires an afghan hook size U.S. K 10.5 (6.50 mm), and large eye needle.
Stitch Requirements: Chain, afghan or tunisian stitch, embroider stitches.
