Description

This classic ripple is enhanced with a beautiful blending of colors. Kit includes Caron Jumbo Ombre yarn. Requires crochet hook H-8. Size 50" x 58". Intermediate crochet.

Stitch Requirements: Chain, double crochet, double triple crochet, repeat, single crochet, front post, slip stitch, yarn over hook.

Something not right with the pattern

Its flagged easy, but somethings off. I do internediate patterns with ease. I pulled it out so many times its not even funny! Very frustrating! I finally tossed the pattern and am using tge wool to make a popcorn stitch aphgan. Less cursing happening...live the peach color and large skeins si will definatley use this wiol more often.

It was a bit complicated….So

It was a bit complicated….So I used the pattern that was on the label of the wool.Was able to make 2 smaller Afghans.They came out great.

Crochet Ripple Ridges Blanket

I give the pattern a great but the yarn rates much lower. The picture in the catalogue shows a very elegant afghan. I ordered the Easter Basket colour and was really disappointed. I crocheted three or four rows and it was evident that the colour arrangement wasn't going to be the same as in the picture. Immediately it reminded me of carpet underlay. I ripped it out and went out and bought replacement yarn to make a stunning afghan.

This is new variation of a tried and true pattern and can be done with the ease of any level crochet skill. The Caron as usual has a superior product to complete this project. Great job.

Crochet Ripple Ridges Blanket

I really wanted to love this. I do love the yarn, it's beautiful and works up very well. I'm an advanced and experienced crocheter (35 years). Never met a pattern I couldn't figure out...until now. I've spent 16 hours making according to instructions, pulling it all out, rewriting the pattern and trying again. It's just too messed up. And unfortunately, as it is to be a birthday gift, I simply don't have the time (or frankly the desire) to spend another day or two on rewriting a pattern I paid for. I'm going with another pattern and will use the yarn that came with the kit for it. Really too bad. Recommend someone at Mary Maxim look into this, as this pattern seems to be a problem for others as well. Wish I'd read through the reviews more thoroughly before purchasing.

Directions were terrible. They were hard to read and not clear to follow. There needed to be a better diagram. I crochet! Knit! And quilt. I have made many detailed afghans, and quilts. The yarn was beautiful and nice to work with. I was really looking forward to making this blanket for a gift.
