This wonderfully detailed afghan was created in 2009 using Mary Maxim's best-selling, quality yarn, Mary Maxim Starlette, which offered 190 yds per skein at that time. Please note, colors, and yardage have changed since then. With all the options of worsted weight yarns we offer today, you can create this to match your home decor. Overall dimensions, when completed are 50.5 x 60" (128 x 152.5 cm). Requires crochet hooks H-8 (5 mm) and J-10 (6 mm). Intermediate crochet.

I had a great experience with Mary Maxim customer service. One of the yarns in my recent order was splitting quite a bit while I was working with it. I honestly thought it might just be one of those chances you take with yarn, but I called to ask about it.

First time ordering a surprise color and I was pleasantly surprised with the color. I made myself a fun sun hat for the beach. It’s floppy so my next one will use some wire for the edge but I still think it’s cute
Good products at a good price
I’m still pretty new to using cotton yarn, and I really love the speckled colors in Premier Cotton. The little pops of color are so cute in finished projects and make even simple patterns look extra fun. It’s easy to work with, has nice stitch definition, and works great for the hats, dishcloths, and other cotton projects I’ve been making. I’ll definitely keep buying the speckles!

It has nice stitch definition, holds its shape well, and is still soft and easy to work with. I’ve even had to pull out and redo a few sections, and the yarn has held up great. Definitely a cotton yarn I’ll keep using!

This afghan is beautiful but difficult. Although it is simple single crochets, it is difficult to follow such an in depth chart. I have definitely had to utilize my patience more so than with other patterns. There are so many stretches that include only one stitch of each color and that makes it very difficult to follow. Also, there are so many yarn tails as you can't carry the colors for more than a few stitches. I am about halfway done with this afghan and will post a photo when finished.
