Create a timeless, cozy hooded pullover using our vintage knitting pattern. Ideal for staying comfortably warm during cool mornings at the bus stop when a jacket feels like too much. This design includes set-in sleeves and convenient slash pockets for added style and practicality. Designed using Mary Maxim bulky weight Artic yarn, which provided 130 yds/3 oz skein at the time. Discover our entire selection of bulky weight yarns in a variety of brands and colors they're sure to love! Keep in mind that yardage will vary between brands. Materials List: Sz 8 (7 skeins), Sz 10-12 (8 skeins). All sizes CC (1 skein). Knitting needles size U.S. 9 (5.50 mm), and 6 (4.25), and crochet hook size I/9 (5.50 mm). Fits children sizes 8-10-12—Intermediate knit.
Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, repeat, increase, decrease, stocking stitch.

Loved making this for Christmas. The pattern was fine tho it would have been easier if row numbers were included. I filled in the mesh to make ithe nativity scene stand out & intertwined the dc to prevent gaps as I plan to hang it on a wall. I plan to make it again in the future using blue & white.

I've been using this sock yarn for years now and my son's girlfriend has been buying the socks from me to give to her friends. Everyone loves them! All the money I raise goes to a local charity that helps people who are homeless or need help. I am also giving a pair to each of the nurses who give me my monthly infusions. I was worried when there were only a few colors left so I went on a buying spree and I think I have enough yarn to last for a few years. I'm glad to see many of the favorite colors are back in stock, so I may have to snatch up some more when free shipping comes around again! (A suggestion to people who run out of yarn when making a pair: I use a solid color yarn for the toes and those socks are very popular)
