Craft this charming capelet with our classic vintage pattern. Ideal for all seasons, it offers a flattering silhouette. Enjoy knitting the simple collar, belt, and trim with seed stitch for a delightful finish. Originally knit with Mary Maxim Artik Orlon Wintuk, bulky weight yarn, which offered 130 yds per 3 oz skein at the time. We suggest Premier Basix Chunky for this project, but you can view all bulky yarns here. Keep in mind, yardages will vary. Materials List: All Sizes: 8 skeins, knitting needles size U.S. 10 (6 mm), and 10.5 (6.50 mm). Sized for adults—Intermediate knit.
Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, stocking stitch, repeat, decrease, increase, cast on, cast off.

Was so stoked to learn that this was the real pattern adapted for Project Hail Mary's iconic fox cardigan! This was my second time ever trying knit colourwork, first time on a garment. Sized up one needle size as I am a 46-48" bust but really I could have kept the suggested gauge. Grid was easy to edit using stills from the movie to get the fox look, and I bought chunky acrylic yarn as I could not afford the kit. A really fun knit with some great new skills to learn - I loved the pocket construction!
I love this yarn!! It is soft and great to work with. I used Furls Metal hooks and they seemed to work great with it.
Have not started that project yet. I always have 1 waiting, so I always have something to knit in the evenings without waiting to get the next one in the mail! (Last Christmas it was 13 afghans for gifts!)
Love this pattern and the yarn. While I love working on this project sometimes I have to put it down for a bit. Easy to get back into it.

I took a chance and ordered the unbranded cotton and was very pleased. I got a nice cone of varigated teals/purples and a small ball of another type of varigated purples.
Super easy graft to follow! The graft is very large which makes it a breeze to follow. I am happy with the pattern and extra happy with the yarn. If you like soft yarn then you will love the yarn in this kit. Great price for the Snow Queen, but I think the shipping is crazy over priced. I can get yarn shipping from the UK at half the price which makes the deals much better.
