Worked with one skein each of Mary Maxim Merino (440 yds/3.5 oz) fingering weight yarn for the shawl and Fair Isle Willow (290 yds/3.5 oz) sport weight for the hat—two yarns that work beautifully together. The result? An effortlessly stylish duo that whispers comfort and casual elegance with every wear. Shop our fingering and sport-weight yarns for the perfect pair for your next project! Keep in mind, yardages vary. To get started, you'll also need double-point needles size 6 (4 mm), 32" circular needle size 6 (4 mm), and 16" (40 cm) circular needle size 6 (4 mm). Finished size: Scarf: 51 x 18" (129.5 x 46 cm). Slouchy: 19" (48 cm) circumference over ribbing.

Bought this for my mom this advent season. She has Alzheimer's and I've moved her to my home while we build her a small cottage just behind our home to live in so that I can be nearby to take care of her. She finds it a bit frustrating to work the puzzles herself, but she very much enjoys watching me put them together. I leave it on the dining room table next to where she sits to eat so she can admire it all day long. Pups are her favorite so she is enjoying this!
