Just wrote a review about Bug Twist twinkle yarn. Used the word sparkle in reference instead of Twinkle. So sorry,but it definitely is “sparkly”👍
Recently purchased 4 skeins of Big Twist Sparkle yarn. My granddaughter’s favorite color is purple,so got 2purple and 2 white. Made her a small throw blanket for college and it turned out very “ sparkly”. Had a little trouble with the thin thread of sparkles, but after using it, I would definitely purchase it again. There were even washing instructions in the info. Machine wash, lay flat to dry. Very helpful. Thanks again, Mary Maxim! Very satisfied,as usual.

San wood needles feel like luxury needles but are affordable. They are smooth and warm with points that are just right, neither too sharp nor too blunt. They are a pleasure to knit with.

I love to crochet, I love hummingbirds. What could be better. I have not tried mosaic crochet with color changes in the rows. For me this is a new challenge. I do have to say that although I have not completed this project, I have found that there is a mistake in the written pattern in row 25. (I'm not sure if this issue has been addressed yet. I did buy this kit approximately 3 years ago)
In row 25, the written pattern states fldc below in next 39 st, that part should be fldc in next 42 st.
I'm not sure if there are any other errors but in any case, I am thrilled with the afghan kit and enjoying the new technique.

The reason I gave 3 stars is the Alpaca hair. The yarn is gorgeous, but the Alpaca hair gets everywhere. I thought the Alpaca hair would be woven into the yarn. It is not. I bought this to give the throw as a gift, but now I think the receiver will not like it because of the hair.
Hi Mary! Thank you for your feedback. We want you to be able to gift your project with pride and confidence. It is normal to experience some initial shedding when working with an alpaca yarn. The shedding should decrease with time. You can also gently hand wash and lay flat to dry before you gift your blanket to help set the fibers. If you have any further questions. When I do a blanket I usually watch a movie or sports. I find this pattern, although it doesn't look it to be the type you have to closely monitor with a few rows that is repeated and repeated. Also, I prefer a pattern to be whole, not continually putting in repeat, repeat, repeat. It gets confusing to make sure what row you are on.
Love everything Mary Maxim. I started knitting at 8 years old in 1960. My Mom bought me the beginners kit. I remember it came in a tube. I still have 1 of the needles & the book.
