Knit these delightful overalls with a classic vintage pattern! The colorful image comes straight from a 1960s catalog, showcasing charming bibbed jeans worked in a simple stockinette stitch. This design was originally made using Mary Maxim’s Mellowspun Wintuk sport weight yarn, which offered 420 yards per skein back in the day. You can purchase Mary Maxim Mellowspun or other DK weight yarns here. Please note yardages may have changed; pattern for jeans only. Also requires knitting needles size U.S. 2 (2.75 mm) and 3 (3.25 mm). Fits child sizes 4 and 6—Intermediate knit.

I love this pattern and the yarn. I consider myself somewhere in the intermediate crochet skill range. I've had to frog a few times, am using a few more stitch markers than normal and am counting each side to stay organized, but the afghan is turning out amazing so far. I can't wait to finish it.
