Create a must-have sweater that your child will reach for again and again! With this vintage graph-style pattern, you can create a Sun Valley Cardigan that is perfect for those cooler days and is sure to keep them warm and comfortable. Design features: optional shall collar, turtleneck collar, or hood. Originally designed using Mary Maxim Titan, a bulky‑weight yarn that offered 80 yards per 3 oz skein, this project knits up beautifully with rich texture and cozy durability. Explore our bulky yarn section to find just the right color combination—including Titan—for a sweater that truly stands out. Keep in mind that yardages can vary by brand as you plan your project. Separate patterns for Women-Youth, and Men are also available. Fits children sizes 8-10-12—Intermediate knit. PDL450A Reindeer, PDL495 Sun Valley, and PDL466 Cowboy cardigan patterns are available separately.

Stitch Requirements: Cast on, cast off, knit, purl, repeat, increase, decrease, slip stitch, color changes using fair isle and colored pattern knitting methods.

I absolutely loved making this Afghan. It was a wedding gift. The instructions were clear and there were very few missed steps on my part. It actually went pretty quickly.. The finished product was beautiful and looked just like the picture. The yarn was a joy to work with. The cream with flex was a beautiful color. I highly recommend this kit.

It turned out beautifully
The pattern itself has been a really interesting challenge, as my first colorwork piece. It's just the right amount of challenge without being overwhelming. The kit is great, it had just enough yarn for everything, and some leftover for my first few mistakes! It didn't come with any closure (buttons/zipper), but I'm actually glad for that, as I'm quite picky with that sort of thing and am happy to find my own.
Overall, I'm very glad to have purchased and knitted the whole thing! Definitely recommend, and I was thrilled to be able to support a MI brand.
