I'm so glad to find Mary Maxim. I happened upon it from a search on Amazon, tried a variegated green and then researched the actual company. I ordered 10 skeins of Starlette and am happy with the softness and smooth feel while crocheting. In the future I intend to try different lines of yarn for other projects than the current blankets and afghans. The yarn is very soft and easy to work with. I love the way the color changes gradually from light to dark blue. I see no splitting. However, I have found 2 knots in the skein of yarn I am currently working with and had to frog back several stitches, cut the knot and reconnect.

I enjoy for my surprise crochet kit to arrive. I want to improve my skill and learn more. The only thing I would change is a tutorial. This last one tote I love but I haven't done before. This yarn surprised me, in a good way. I’ve seen several garments from other makers and thought I’d give it a try.
First the colors are stunning, the hand feel is lush for a dk wt. There was minimal splitting, nothing that would slow me down.

I waited for this Surfside yarn to be back in stock. It's tricky to unravel in case of mistakes, but the colors are fantastic for sweaters. :)

I love working with this Titan yarn. It is nice and sturdy for making baskets. The stitch definition really stands out. I have noticed that some of the colors in this yarn may be a little thicher than others, but once the item you're working on is finished, you really can't tell. This will now be my go to yarn for basket making. I love it.
This yarn works up beautifully although I had a few balls that contained quite a few untwisted yarn sections that had to be removed. Upon calling Mary Maxim they were willing to rectify the problem.
It was easy to work with. But it had several spots where the yarn puffed from not being wound properly. This was on almost every skein. Otherwise, it was ok.

Beautiful weight chunky yarn! Made an absolutely gorgeous throw for a going-away gift. Perfect thickness to keep good tension throughout your project. Making another throw, but the yarn color is out of stock. Hopefully it’s restocked and I can get it ordered!

Using Titan Bulky Weight as a comparable yarn to Red Heart Soft Essentials in making a throw. The texture isn't as soft as soft essentials, but it gives a nice variation of texture.
