Originally designed with Mary Maxim Mellowspun, a sport-weight yarn boasting 210 yards per 2 oz skein at the time. With the wonderful selections of sport-weight yarns available today, the combinations are endless! Use U.S. size 6 (4.25 mm) knitting needles or a size F-5 (3.75 mm) crochet hook and a 14" round pillow form to complete this project.
Stitch Requirements: Chain, single crochet, increase, decrease, repeat, knit purl, through the back loop.

Irish Twist is my go to yarn. I have used it for years making afghans and sweaters with it. It rarely separates or pills. A good value for the money. I recommend it highly.

6/30/26. Got a great variety of shades. I got a Creamsicle looking skein which I’ve been unable to purchase online for a while. Happy about that. Also got a bunch of smaller balls of the red and green, which I will happily use for Christmas projects. I will definitely buy again multiple of these at once.
This yarn works well on my .4.5 mm standard knitting machine. It is very sift, and seems delicate, but it is 50% nylon and 50% acrylic, tuff fibers.
