I have crocheted six of MJs sweaters in the last 3 years but this is my first kit and first time using MJs yarn. Mary Maxim makes the process very easy by offering kits - they arrive in a clear reusable zipper bag with heavy printed patterns making it easy to start crocheting.
The only thing I have to say is greatness. I got 3 boxes of the same yarn, but a little bit of a difference in each one. If you buy more than 2 maybe make the boyarn different. I love them really addicting.
I saw this is beautiful. As soon as I finished with my current project I’m going to start this!

The Best Value yarn is very soft. It’s also very silky which makes it a bit difficult to maintain even stitches. The yarn also splits very easily so it’s been a bit slow going. The pattern is relatively easy to follow although there were many redone rows as I was figuring it out. The contrast colour isn’t as dark as the picture, but I actually like it better.
I would recommend this to someone who is comfortable reading patterns, definitely not a straight beginner project, but there’s nothing super advanced in there. Makes a beautiful blanket!
Love this pattern so much that I made two of them. See them side-by-side. The cream and taupe is elegant, while the burgundy and cream really pops. This yarn lays well and is super sleek and elegant. This pattern really enhances the intermediate crocheter's skill with webbed pattern. Highly recommend this pattern.

This afghan is beautiful! I would love to make it. It is shown in cottonwood and mocha which looks beautiful but these colors are not offered in the color choices. Very disappointed that I cannot purchase as shown.
