Knit a sweater or vest using this vintage pattern. Color image scanned from 1960 catalog. Originally made using sport-weight yarn, Mary Maxim Mellowspun or Mellowmist, which had 420 yards per skein. You will find Mary Maxim Mellowspun and all the current sport-weight yarn selections here. Please note, yardages may have changed. Materials List: Pullover Sz 34-38 & 40-46 MC (8 oz) CC (4 oz). Cardigan Sz 34-38 (12 oz) CC 16 oz), Sz 40-46 MC (16 oz), CC all sizes (4 oz), knitting needle sizes U.S. 3 (3.25 mm) and 6 (4.25 mm).
Stitch Requirements: Knit, Purl, repeat, increase, decrease, stockinette stitch, cast on, bind off.

Love this! The only yarn I use for amigurumi now! It does have a tendency to pill at the ends, but it makes for a great, soft end product, so it is worth it by me despite the difficulty to sew things in.
I love the colors and made an hat
I live in Scotland, in a village 10 minutes away from where the designer lives, but chose to make my purchase from Mary Maxim as I've seen the results of so many makes in Prism and love them. The kit comes in a strong clear storage bag, which is similar in size to the ones I use to protect my stash from cat hair, so it's easily stored with the others. The colours and textures of the yarns are gorgeous. The pattern is well written and easy to follow, even for a visual learner, like me. This is a wee Christmas gift to myself, but I've got a feeling that once it's completed, it'll find itself in my son's room! I can't wait to get started. We need a Mary Maxim outlet on this side of the pond.

I’m making a pullover with the rag yarn. I love how it’s working up
I ordered a few kits and this is the first one I started. I would prefer if it came with single segments of yarn so I didn't have to keep rethreading the needle but I learned to tape the end of the yarn to simplify rethreading and that definitely sped things up.
The paper is glossy but not extreme. Gives a nice shine to set off the picture. I am going to embellish the picture with seashells.
We had so much fun putting this great quality puzzle together! A nice change from the average puzzle.
This pattern is very well written. The “Autumn Mist” yarn is so soft and the colors are as exaction shown online.
