Knit his and hers scenic Owl in the Night vests with a sun on the horizon, and the silhouetted shape of an owl, using this classic vintage graph-style pattern, perfect for bird lovers, or as a fun gift! Originally designed with Mary Maxim Mellowspun yarn, which provided 420 yards per 4 oz skein, at the time. You can now explore our range of sport weight yarns, including Mellowspun—just note variations in yardage. Required materials include MC (8 oz), CC Black (100 yds), CC Yellow (60 yds), CC White (50 yds), and knitting needles U.S. sizes 3 (3.25 mm) and 6 (4.25 mm). This intermediate-level pattern fits sizes 32 to 44, offering a flattering, versatile fit for him or her.
Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, repeat, increase, decrease, stockinette stitch, cast on, cast off.

6/30/26. Got a great variety of shades. I got a Creamsicle looking skein which I’ve been unable to purchase online for a while. Happy about that. Also got a bunch of smaller balls of the red and green, which I will happily use for Christmas projects. I will definitely buy again multiple of these at once.
This yarn works well on my .4.5 mm standard knitting machine. It is very sift, and seems delicate, but it is 50% nylon and 50% acrylic, tuff fibers.
