With this free pattern by Premier, knit an amazing tote and matching pouch! Choose your own colors of Premier's Basix worsted-weight yarns in a wonderful assortment of colors to suit your style and vibe. Premier Basix offers 359 yds/7 oz skeins, or choose from any of our worsted-weight brands. Be sure to check yardages, as brands can vary. Finished size Tote: 18" W x 14" H. Pouch: 7.5" W x 4" H. Intermediate knit.

CC1 Ballet - 1 ball
CC2 Spring Green - 1 ball
CC3 Cherry Red - 1 ball
CC4 Dijon Mustard - 1 ball
CC5 Dark Purple - 1 ball
CC6 Blue - 1 ball
Knitting needle size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm) and 2 double-point needles for I-cord, removable marker, sewing needle and thread to match zipper, zipper tape, adjustable black purse strap, 3-1.25" D-rings, 7" zipper for pouch, 20-21" zipper for tote, and a small metal clasp.
Stitch Requirements: Cast on, cast off, knit, knit through the back loop, changing colors using the intarsia method, I-cord, sewing on a zipper, seaming with whipstitch and mattress stitch.

I did find the instructions hard to follow at first, and I'm a very experienced crocheter. I started over about 5 times. I ended up using a slightly larger crochet hook, because I had a hard time finding the right spaces to crochet into in the first row. The larger hook made that easier. I still struggled some through the first square or two, being unsure if I was crocheting into the right stitches from the previous row(s), but once you see how the design works out, the instructions begin to make a lot more sense. So - rough start, but after that, I enjoyed crocheting it and the results are stunning. I would definitely rate this as experienced rather than intermediate.
This pattern was a joy to make, and the yarn is perfectly suited: easy to handle and with great definition. I thoroughly enjoyed this project, and the finished product is really beautiful.
I'm giving a 5 star rating not because I like the yarn but for Mary Maxim having the 2 Big Twist colors I have been looking for for an afghan kit I have.

Premier Colorfusion DK yarn is one of my favorite yarns. The yarn is soft and does not split. The beautiful multiple colorways are fun to crochet with.
I really enjoy crocheting with MJ's Off The Hook Designs Timeless Tones yarn. The yarn is very soft and provides great stitch definition. The colors are beautiful, especially the autumn colors which are my favorite. So far, I've used the yarn to make pumpkins, but will soon use it to make a throw. The yarn does split once in a while, but that does not bother me.

Soft grip is so nice to use for long periods of time, especially as a beginner!
Love this yarn. I use it for crocheting baby lovies. It can be tricky to work with at first, just getting used to seeing your stitches, but it doesn't take long to adjust! Nothing is cuter and softer!
