Originally created in 1960, this design features Mary Maxim Twinkle, a soft and elegant fingering weight yarn that provided 175 yards per 1 oz skein, perfect for crafting a timeless keepsake. We have an incredible selection of fingering-weight yarns to choose from today, including Mary Maxim Twinkle! Note: yardage varies. Materials Needed Christening Dress: 7 oz fingering weight yarn, and Party Dress (5 oz), a size U.S. 2 (2.75 mm), and 3 (3.25 mm) knitting needles. Fits child 6-9 months—Intermediate knit.
Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, stockinette stitch, increase, decrease, repeat, slip stitch, work even as set, place marker.
