I've enjoyed working on this baby afghan. I like the yellow as the main color since it's a good color either a boy or girl. The yarn has a nice feel and crochets up nice. The pattern for the most part was easy. However I had to adjust a couple of things. Row 23: should be repeat Row 9 instead of Row 3 (do to stitch count). Also the repeat rows 13-26 for pattern six times more. I only had enough yellow to do 5 repeats. Then Row 3 of the Border the repeat for in between the corners (sc in next ch-5sp, 5 dc in next ch-sp) it didn't look right so I looked at the picture and it shows 7 dc, which looks much better. I still plan to make another one in a different color. It's a nice blanket & it will work for a baby's car seat.

Holding 3 strands of yarn together isn't as easy as it sounds. Even if you separate each ball and put each ball in a holder, bags, etc. I found a much easier solution and no tangling of the yarn. Combine 3 strands together and wind into one large ball; knitting goes faster and no problem with tangling.

This yarn is very nice, however in MJ’s pattern the Everyday Ragg Cardigan she is using brown and it is a lot darker than the brown shown and the brown ghat I ordered. Very misleading.

This is good yarn. I crocheted rooster pot holders (trivets) and coasters. Turned out great. Looks like my granny’s old “Dominecker” (his name) rooster. Can’t begin to tell the number of times she threatened him with the “dumplin’ pot” but he never made it there. Lived to be old and went to “Chicken Haven” My granddaughter will use the pot holders as trivets to set bowls on the table and such and the coasters for cups or glasses. They will be well cared for but used. She loves chickens. We love the yarn and how it works up. Wanted the brown too but Mary Maxim was out of the brown. Will reorder later.
Couldn't find the brown locally so ordered online. Arrived in about a week which was pretty fast. It's the perfect color for the sock monkey inspired blanket I'm crocheting. It feels very soft, looks easy to care for and is crocheting up very nicely. Plus it was on sale! What's not to like about that?

I first started using starlette and starlette ragg with the Christmas stocking kit (no longer available:cry:). Then found many kits using both. Just decided to buy the dark gray ragg with blue and white starlette. A good quality yarn for baby gifts, sweaters, and afghans. Washes and dries nicely, maintains shape and softness.
