This yarn is incredibly soft. It doesn’t separate which makes crocheting with it a breeze.

I absolutely LOVE this yarn. But I only gave it 4 stars because it most certainly is not DK size. The thickness is definitely that of a 4wt worsted. But it is so soft n cuddly.
Yarn is soft to the touch & crochets easily. It doesn’t split. The finished product feels almost silky. I love that it comes in such a large variety of colors. It’s basically my “Go To” yarn for most projects like afghans and children’s clothing, I can’t say how it washes up though as most of my projects are for gifts & I don’t wash or block them before I gift them since I don’t know any allergy the recipient may have. I do use a “stretch & pull” method instead of blocking tho. It’s great Premier Basic goes on sale quite often so I usually stock up when it does. I wish there was always Free Shipping though, even if it would be over a certain amount. I have had some issues with the skeins not pulling out from the center easily. It seems the manufacturer could tag the end like some other yarns I use do. I sometimes combine this yarn in an afghan with a heavier #4 weight yarn for a variety of textures & a 3D effect.

It’s a nice basic yarn. I bought it in black to use as a border color for a rainbow colored granny squares blanket.

I'm happy to make purchases with Mary Maxim. The only issue I have is the fact that it takes so long for the order to process. It's too long when you're working on a project and you need more materials but have to wait almost 10 days to get your order.

Great yarn for the baby hats I knit for our local hospital’s newborn unit.
I usually get a baby blanket made and bordered (using a pattern I have used numerous times) with 3 skeins of light #3, 3.5 oz skeins of yarn. Unfortunately, I am 10 rows plus border short of finishing my blanket. Now I’ll have to order another skein to finish the blanket. I am very disappointed in the Premier Basiz DK yarn for this reason.

Nice, soft yarn. Worked well against the white in my Sister's afghan. Price point was a lot better than other yarns also!
The yarn was a little thinner than i thought it would be but the quality is excellent and i will make it work for my project.
Currently making a baby sweater, and it is looking real good! The yarn holds the pattern well without being stiff.
