The Premier Anti Pilling DK is my absolute favorite acrylic yarn. I have texture issues and this is the only acrylic yarn that ive been able to use on a large project. It supper soft and silky to work with and glides over my fingers as I’m crocheting. It’s also a great quality yarn that will last for years to come. I can’t wait to try the new super fine addition to the Anti Pilling family as I live in Florida so like blankets and sweaters to be in the lighter side.

I have crocheted six of MJs sweaters in the last 3 years but this is my first kit and first time using MJs yarn. Mary Maxim makes the process very easy by offering kits - they arrive in a clear reusable zipper bag with heavy printed patterns making it easy to start crocheting.
The only thing I have to say is greatness. I got 3 boxes of the same yarn, but a little bit of a difference in each one. If you buy more than 2 maybe make the boyarn different. I love them really addicting.

I enjoy all filet type of afghans but this one had very well written instructions that made easy to finish quickly and it came out great.
Super hard pattern that my experienced MIL could NOT get despite many, many restarts. She finally gave up. Only get if you are an expert crocheter.

I haven’t crocheted for some time before which I had done quite a lot using both chart and ‘word’ instructions. This is by far the most confusing. I have one more person to ask to see if she can figure it out. If not I’ll rip it out and find another pattern.
This was my first graphghan and I loved it! As a relative newbie, I had trouble getting started but after the 3rd attempt, it all clicked and it came together beautifully. I would happily make it again.
I so enjoyed rejuvenating my latent crochet skills and the challenge of the making this first afghan kit (in Wisteria) that I assembled Twisted Denim in pink and am working on a second version and enjoying it every bit as much. I have admired this pattern for some time and it was my plan to convert it to a knit pattern...however, with self-isolation, I decided to challenge myself and crochet this filet-style afghan and enjoyed the process a lot...and the wool provided was adequate and lovely. The pattern is very simple to read and following the graph. I also enjoyed using the yarn that came with the kit. The yarn is very soft, and easy to use if you have chronic pain with your hands, or fingers. It does not fray, or snags on your hooks, or needles. When washing, and I always use the lowest setting on my dryer, it retains it shape if you have followed the instructions on how to care for your handmade items.

The yarn is lovely but the graph is very confusing. The information given says that a graph and written instructions are included. This is misleading because written instructions are given for only a few rows. I have worked with a graph before but have never have had this much trouble. I would not recommend this for beginners.
