Beautiful lace pineapple design crocheted in 4 blocks then sewn together. Designed by Brenda Sampson. Kit includes Mary Maxim Maximum Value yarn. Finished size 60" diameter. Requires crochet hook size J-10 (6 mm).
Stitch Requirements: Chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, decrease, increase, repeat, together, yarn over, slip.

I had a great experience with Mary Maxim customer service. One of the yarns in my recent order was splitting quite a bit while I was working with it. I honestly thought it might just be one of those chances you take with yarn, but I called to ask about it.
The customer service representative was so nice and told me the yarn should not be separating like that. They sent me a replacement without making the process difficult at all. I was really pleased with how helpful, friendly, and easy they were to work with. Great customer service makes such a difference, and I really appreciated it!
First time ordering a surprise color and I was pleasantly surprised with the color. I made myself a fun sun hat for the beach. It’s floppy so my next one will use some wire for the edge but I still think it’s cute
Good products at a good price
I’m still pretty new to using cotton yarn, and I really love the speckled colors in Premier Cotton. The little pops of color are so cute in finished projects and make even simple patterns look extra fun. It’s easy to work with, has nice stitch definition, and works great for the hats, dishcloths, and other cotton projects I’ve been making. I’ll definitely keep buying the speckles!
I’m pretty new to using cotton yarn, and Premier Cotton has been really easy to learn with. I’ve used it for sun hats and am now trying dishcloths and other patterns. It has nice stitch definition, holds its shape well, and is still soft and easy to work with. I’ve even had to pull out and redo a few sections, and the yarn has held up great. Definitely a cotton yarn I’ll keep using!

The pattern is lovely, but the yarn sent in the kit could definitely be better! It was coarse, not soft at all, and nearly impossible to find the end of the yarn from the center of the skein. Will not purchase another kit that uses this yarn. (MM Best Value)
I purchased this before Christmas and had planned to gift it to a dear friend. The yarn was fine for the project, and probably enough but I don't know yet. I attempted the first block repeatedly before writing to Mary Maxim(MM) for help. There are no stitch counts for each row and the directions are written in a way that you "hope" you have it right. I have yet to complete the block as I am coming up short each time with stitches. In asking for further reference or help, the response was there are no stich counts for this pattern. It seems, there might be an attempt made to add a stitch count if this is a problem - but that was not offered. I was informed it was an older pattern and there was not update. That was the end of the communication. Needless to say - this is not the first time I have had issues with MM patterns. It seems to be common and there are many in my group of crocheting friends (some of who have been at this craft for over 60 years) who will not even consider MM patterns for problems they encounter in their patterns. I am sad, as the designs are very nice and I would love to continue to use them, but with the lack of pattern testing before they sell them, it is too much time to invest in ordering them right now. Hoping it will be corrected and we can all work the beautiful projects they show on their web site!
