A twist on the standard ripple. Kit includes Mary Maxim Prism yarn, Caron Simply Soft yarn and pattern. Requires crochet hook H-8 (5 mm). Size 48" x 60". Intermediate Crochet.

The Premier Anti Pilling DK is my absolute favorite acrylic yarn. I have texture issues and this is the only acrylic yarn that ive been able to use on a large project. It supper soft and silky to work with and glides over my fingers as I’m crocheting. It’s also a great quality yarn that will last for years to come. I can’t wait to try the new super fine addition to the Anti Pilling family as I live in Florida so like blankets and sweaters to be in the lighter side.

I have crocheted six of MJs sweaters in the last 3 years but this is my first kit and first time using MJs yarn. Mary Maxim makes the process very easy by offering kits - they arrive in a clear reusable zipper bag with heavy printed patterns making it easy to start crocheting.
The only thing I have to say is greatness. I got 3 boxes of the same yarn, but a little bit of a difference in each one. If you buy more than 2 maybe make the boyarn different. I love them really addicting.

This afghan is a beautiful work of art. The yarn in kit is excellent and easy to work with. It is disappointing that the yarn must be cut after each row to create this afghan. It would be nice to be able to choose colour for the main colour as you can for contrasting colour. My project is not completed, the contrast colour chosen is 2027 Lakeside.
I haven’t started on this kit yet but the yarn looks and feels great!
This blanket turned out very nice . Purchased more yarn to complete another.
I must say I was disappointed at first at the mosaic approach which involves fastening off at the end of every row. But as I stitched and saw how lovely the result was, I became quite pleased. I have gotten used to stitching over the ends and using a tapestry needle at the end of every row so the ends won't be as much trouble.
I am making a queen-sized blanket, not a throw, so I am using 4 times the amount of yarn. The variegated colors do not make as wide of a band that way, but it is still lovely. The blanket will take an age to finish, since most of the stitches are single crochet, but the end result will be something to treasure when my friends receive it as a gift.
