Pattern omits joining instructions

Finished product is beautiful and I enjoyed a new technique. My complaint is that instructions did not specify how to join squares/blocks together to give look pictured. There are a number of ways to join and I expected more than "sew blocks together".

Lots of tiny pieces

I made this piece as a housewarming gift. It was shipped out quickly and I got the yarn and instructions within a matter of days. The yarn is very soft and is pretty easy to work with. I like to pull my working yarn for the center of the ball. With this yarn, finding the yarn end in the center was difficult. The yarn came out of the center of every single skein in a big glob and I still had to unravel the big glob in order to find the end.
The construction of the blanket is pretty straightforward. The pattern is well written and easy to follow, just know that each square has four triangles, that makes for a lot of pieces in this particular project. Be sure you always follow the instructions on how to assemble each square. The colors are placed in a way that each square matches into the square next to it creating a visually stunning design and a lovely throw that will be warm, soft and durable for years to come.

I love the way the Afghan looks, but I do NOT like this pattern.

The pattern has you creating 320 small individual triangles. They are then joined to make 80 small blocks. Then joined again to make 20 bigger blocks. Very tedious and a waste of a lot of yarn finishing off all those triangles. In the future I will try to look at the pattern before purchasing. I love the yarn so will be searching for another pattern that uses 5 colors.
