Infinity Knot Throw crochet kit

This is a beautiful pattern, easy to follow, with equally beautiful yarn!

I love making afghans with Prism Yarns

I made this throw using the “Rain Shower” color. It worked up very quickly (took me less than 2 weeks) and was stunning! The pattern was easy to follow, the yarn is soft, yet warm, and the gift was well received. I will definitely make this throw again.

Infinity Knot throw

Know why you labeled this pattern as "Intermediate" crochet--whoever wrote the directions to the pattern didn't know how to clarify things. I'm fairly adept at crocheting and consider myself to be at the intermediate skill level. BUT, the writer of pattern waited till the END of the LAST row to tell you how to attach the rows to the foundation chain row (aka row 1). REALLY?!! You couldn't put that information at the beginning of the pattern under Pattern Notes or I don't know--maybe at the end of Row 2 where it should be to start with?!! Too late now--already figured out for myself how to attach each completed row to the foundation chain row (aka row 1). Now I don't have to "sew the ends of rows to Row 1"...already attached them unless I were to tear out all 5 rows & start over. Not doing that.

Nicole--no, it's not you. I'm rather adept at crocheting and counting stitches but the directions do need more clarity. I got hung up too. I also have a couple of other kits from MM but those directions can be confusing too. And yes, the prism yarn twists up as you crochet and is tightly twisted (thin thread) in some places but very loosely twisted (thicker) in others. Not buying afghan kits from here anymore--getting all kits from Herrschner's or Annie's. The kits from Annie's are more clear than these and they offer video tutorials too (with some if not all kits).

Great project!

Easy enough project for a beginner. The yarn has a beautiful sheen and is nice to work with. I love the Prism color combinations.

Pattern was a bust, pretty yarn

This was a commission piece, client picked out the throw and yarn. The pattern did not work out as written, too many gaps to make a square. After frogging no less than 8 times, I used the lovely roving yarn to make a thrown that kind of resembles this pattern. Client approved. The only complaint I have about the yarn is that it goes from super bulky 6 or7 down to single ply thread in just a few inches, that is awkward at best.

Disappointed

I love the pattern for this throw and the beautiful coloration of the Prism yarn. However, when I began to crochet the throw it became apparent to me that this yarn appears to ravel. Also, I learned that projects made with this yarn must be hand washed and placed flat to dry. I don't think this info is available on site. In any event, I will not proceed with making this throw. I am disappointed, but have had great success with other Mary Maxim products.

Nice afghan

I like the pattern and the colors I chose but I don't think this lacy yarn is a good pick for an afghan. Once I got a handle on the pattern, it was easy to do. Completed one afghan in about 4 days.
