What a great way for your little girl to carry around her dolly. Cradle folds into a cute little purse to take with your doll anywhere. Kit includes pattern, a 5" Lots of Love doll and yarn to make an outfit, blanket and cradle/purse. Requires crochet hooks G-6 (4 mm) and size 7 (4.5 mm).
Stitch Requirements: Chain, double crochet, decrease, half double crochet, increase, repeat, single crochet, slip, together, treble crochet, yarn over hook, place marker.

I didn't like the quality of the yarn that came with the kit, but I did use as it was my granddaughter's birthday gift. the directions were pretty easy to follow. I did have to use a bigger hook to get the rquired stitches per inch. The yarn for the dress was way to heavy for the dress & i found a pattern for PJ's that use fingering weight yarn to completed them.

I believe I’m an intermediate crocheter but I had problems following the instructions for the cradle hood - it’s too short! As for your Starlette yarn - it’s more a bulky thickness than a worsted. It’s not a soft yarn.
The only positive of this project is the little doll and her dress. I’ll make a cradle-purse from a Moses cradle with my yarn of choice.

It is very cute! I had a bit of trouble at first, but it is coming along nicely. I loved the design and I thing my granddaughter will too.
The Senior Center have craft shows twice a year. It dawned on me that we didn't have anything for children at our booth, so I bought the pattern to make up and see how they go.

This pattern was easy to follow and the yarn was wonderful to crochet. I made two cradle purses and both little girls that received them were very happy .Years ago I made a version of the cradle purse for my daughters and now I have made these for my granddaughters.
