Craft a stunning ripple afghan with our downloadable pattern and a spectrum of sport-weight yarns - knit or crochet your way to a colorful masterpiece! Originally our Mary Maxim Mellowspun with 174 yds per skein was used. Click the link, and you will find our large selection of sportweight yarns including Mellowspun, however, yardages have changed! Also needed for the crochet version a crochet hook size U.S. I-9 (5.5 mm) and for the knitted version a 36" Circular Ndl. Size 8 (5 mm). Make great gifts too!
Stitch Requirements: Cast on, cast off, chain, single crochet, knit, increase, decrease.

4.5 stars for this yarn. The ombré is beautiful, but upon use of other spools in the pack, sometimes the colors are tied together, creating a starker contrast. I’ve also en countered a few instances of fraying that I will need to trim off my blanket once everything is said and done. I hope it won’t cause a full break in the yarn.
The project is beautiful and the pattern is easy to read with only a handful of instances where FPDC should have been FPTC— but I figured it out!
