I bought these for the kids and they loved making them. So easy and fast too.
I have always wanted to make this pattern so I made the purchase when they went on sale. They are so easy and the pattern is easy to follow. The kit came with it's own yarn, but I used the pattern using a variegated red, white and blue cotton yarn that I had in my stash to make a 4th of July decoration for my mom's apartment door and it came out beautiful. So easy and they make wonderful gifts.
These are so easy to make that kids could make them with only a little supervision. Look great and price is good too.

My first order from Mary Maxim. I am using the Mellowspun dk Dove yarn for a waffle stitch throw. This yarn is easy to work with (I’m a beginner) and is so very soft. I can’t wait to cuddle with it. Ordering was super easy and I love the various discounts and sales.

I really love how soft this yarn is. Easy to work with. I had no issues of the yarn splitting.
Mellowspun material is soft & light. The project I crocheted ended up a bit thinner than I expected it to be, so the shape of the toddler sweater was a bit stretchy but it's ok. I would order again. I like the Denim color & looks lovely finished.

I understand that colors may vary from dye lot to dye lot, but I ordered denim blue and got gray.
The label does say denim, but it doesn’t come close to the color on my previous order or the color shown on the website.

Mellowspun DK crochets up beautifully. It’s wonderful for throws and blankets. The yarn resists pilling, and is great for colorwork. It also runs through the washer nicely and blocks well for those who block their projects. It’s one of my favorite DK’s.
The color does not match the online image. The yarn I received is a much lighter shade. It will not work for the project I planned, but I like it and will try to use it for something else.
Works up great and easy on the hands
Chose this yarn for my second ever crochet project, first time ever making a baby blanket. The yarn arrived quicker than expected. It is so soft and easy to work with. The strands don’t unravel easily either. I’m very happy with my purchase. This is the first time I’ve purchased yarn from somewhere other than the big box craft stores, and I’m happy to say I plan to do so again!
