I've always loved these traditional stockings. The yarn that came in the kit is a very nice worsted that doesn't split. The colors are traditional too. I'm planning on making a garland with them, and to give as gifts.
Picked up the Christmas and Patriotic colors - they were so quick to make and really cute when finished. They are absorbant and are easy to wash, and hold their shape. I love that there is enough yarn to make more for gifts.

I knew when I purchased this item, there were no written instructions, but I did expect a nice graph where the blocks were big enough for me to see. There are tiny squares that I tried to enlarge on a photocopier but they were still too small on the largest photocopy paper a machine could hold. To enlarge big enough I would have had to do it in many sections. In addition the graph itself is not even numbered. At least if the rows were numbered it might be a little easier. I wish I could send the whole thing back and get my money.
Very cute blanket. Pattern is easy to follow. Only complaint I the yarn splits and is different thickness.

Worse crochet pattern I have ever done. This is not a pattern that should be done in single crochet. Difficult changing colors and constantly untangling yarn. I do a lot in afghan stich and get much better results.

I love the pattern. It’s so cute! I’m not a fan of the yarn. It seems to split very easily. I think I’d like to be making this in worsted weight yarn. It would feel a bit more plushy. It is easier having all the yarn and pattern together, but I would be happier with a different yarn.
