Description
Knit a plaid beanie with our pattern. Be creative with color to suit your style and taste. Design is worked in the round from the bottom up. Slip stitch surface crochet is used to add the vertical lines. Designed using Premier Basix Chunky yarn that provided 117 yds per 3.5 oz skein. Shop our entire selection of chunky yarns to find your perfect color combinations! Keep in mind, yardages will vary. Materials List: Eggplant, Butterscotch, Celery (1 skein each), and knitting needles size U. S. 13 (9 mm, 16" circular and set of double point needles size 11 (8 mm)Also needed are stitch markers, crochet hook size M/13 (9 mm), and pom pom maker. Finished sizes Fits Child, Adult S/M, and Adult L/XL. Intermediate knit.
Stitch Requirements: Cast on, cast off, knit, purl, decrease, change colors, slip stitch, make and attach a pom pom.

Very colorful images
4.5 stars for this yarn. The ombré is beautiful, but upon use of other spools in the pack, sometimes the colors are tied together, creating a starker contrast. I’ve also en countered a few instances of fraying that I will need to trim off my blanket once everything is said and done. I hope it won’t cause a full break in the yarn.
The project is beautiful and the pattern is easy to read with only a handful of instances where FPDC should have been FPTC— but I figured it out!

I bought this and am halfway through. I had trouble understanding the increases and searched YouTube. Bag o day crochet has a video that was very helpful.

If the link doesn’t work search for corner to corner in the round. The example there starts with 5 blocks and the kit starts with 16 blocks, but the corner increases are identical no matter how many blocks you start with. FYI you can start with any number of blocks. The multiple is 6 times the number of blocks plus 3 ( in YouTube video, starting chain of 33=6x5+3, in pattern, 99=6x16+3 )
