Moonlit Magic Throw

I love the yarn. I love the finished product. Friends, it’s very comp,ex and you have to intuit the designer’s intent by the pictures as the instructs are highly under written. What’s needed? More text. More photos. The slog through was worth it in the end, but I frogged the same two rows five times before I understood what was not said.

I enjoyed this project very much. I thought I might have an exceptionally hard time with it but to my surprise directions were done well.

This has been one of the nicest afghans that I have crocheted recently. The yarn is very soft and the pattern was very easy to follow. I crocheted it in shades of green but it looks a little grey in the photo. I changed the border a bit and added a scalloped border since I had quite a bit of leftover yarn. I am considering getting an extra ball of yarn and making a couple of pillows.

Love the variegated yarn but there were too many breaks/knots in it. The pattern looks very complex but is not too difficult and it’s really beautiful. I’ll do it again in a different color.

I love this yarn, this is my 3rd blanket with this yarn and I'm absolutely in love with it, every yarn color name is something related to Queen, it is very soft and I love the color changing. The only thing is that one skein had a lot of knots in the beginning. I'll update and add pictures when im done!

Pattern has too many errors

I love this yarn! Great to work with, nice colors, very soft, and the end product is lovely. The instructions are a little complicated sometimes, but the pictures are a big help.

While the afghan turned out rather nice, I was very disappointed with the quality of this kit. The pattern was wrong in places and needs to be corrected. The yarn, although pretty was full of knots and changes of thickness. I counted over 5 knots in 1 skein alone. For the price of the kit, this was a poor purchase on my part

Yarn is soft and easy to work with. But the wording on the pattern can be odd at times. I know bag o day says she never does tutorials for her patterns, but in this case one would be helpful. I spent way too much time guessing what she meant. I’m an experienced pattern reader.

I love this pattern and the yarn. I consider myself somewhere in the intermediate crochet skill range. I've had to frog a few times, am using a few more stitch markers than normal and am counting each side to stay organized, but the afghan is turning out amazing so far. I can't wait to finish it.

The yarn for this is so soft! I haven’t started it yet, so I can’t speak to the quality of the pattern yet, but the yarn is beautiful!! And it was shipped promptly in the plastic zipper bag their projects like this usually come in. I can’t wait to start this one!!

I love Chrystal and her tutorials. This yarn is delicious, soft, and squishy. I found the pattern easy to follow until round 52. Still working on that round after about 2 weeks.

Blanket is on the smaller side. Pretty stitch patterns. Beautiful colors and so soft!

The colours are so beautiful and the yarn so soft. I have rarely felt such soft acrylic yarn. The pattern is written very clear.

Having worked this kit to 6 rows shy of complete, I am a little disappointed in the directions and the yarn. As an experienced crochet person, the directions left some to be desired. Mistakes, omissions, and odd wording were all evident. The yarn is soft and the coloration beautiful, but the yarn is fiddly and splits easily, and even just working the throw makes it have a 'fuzzy' appearance like an angora sweater. If you make an error, frogging is annoying, catching at many stitches. Overall this pattern is very lovely, however, I think it only fair to report the issues as they appear. I will probably make this pattern again but in other yarn. Concerned that even though it says non-pill yarn - how long will the throw look 'lovely' with this hairy effect getting worse over time. Will not be purchasing any more of these kits. Love Mary Maxim, made lots of their items and kits, been crocheting for years and years, but not really totally happy with this one.

I received the kit in the mauve hues. The pattern is clearly written, easy to understand and the yarn is beautiful. Can’t wait to finish this beautiful throw.

I love the yarn, no doubt bagoday would put out the best. The pattern is questionable. Considering that the designer doesn't read or write patterns, its easy to misinterpret someone elses instructions. I've read polish translated patterns better than this. But I'm not giving up.

This blanket is so beautiful. I have just started it. The only thing wish is that there was a tutorial for it. I love bag of day and have followed her for years. A turtorial would make it so much easier

This pattern is easy to follow and the yarn is out of this world. It is soft and glides easily. I find that it works up well. I am halfway finished with the throw and can’t wait to see if finished! The ease of the pattern would work for any skill level from beginner to expert. And it was developed nicely. All stitches are basic stitches that are put together beautifully.

Love the yarn, very soft. Pattern was easy to understand. Loved having pictures so I could see what it should look like while I'm working.

It would be really helpful if the patterns were proofread before being sent out. I have run into this before on simpler patterns. This pattern has a lot of different stitches and having to second guess the design makes it more challenging.

Everything is going well with this project. It works up quite fast and the yarn is wonderful. The directions are clear to follow too.

This is FANTASTIC yarn! I cannot say enough good things about it! The pattern is clear, easy to follow and understand and a really nice one to work with.
