Love this yarn! So soft. Very easy to work with.
I am a complete newbie. Never knew how to knit but I practiced and learnt all the required techniques before I worked with my actual yarn. The multi coloured intarsia is quite hard for beginners so I would recommend using only 2 colours for intarsia and duplicate stitch the remaining colours and details. Completed the prohject in 1.5 months and while it definitely doesn't look as good as an experienced knitter since I've made a lot of mistakes on the intarsia parts, I am very proud of my cardigan :> Amaze amaze amaze!

I was very happy with my yarn! I ordered 12 , I got 9 of 1 color and 3 of another color. Plenty of each to make lots of items. I received the cones which I was really happy about . I got a nice mixture of the small skeins that came with each one. This should last me a long time but I would definitely order again. What a great value!

The Vintage Wallpaper Throw is an easy and fun project! I loved crocheting this throw and took it everywhere. People would come up to me and ask me about it and want to touch the yarn which is very soft. Of course I had to excitedly tell them all about Bag O Day and her easy tutorials! She does have a tutorial of this throw which I used a couple times for the border. I have never put a border on a blanket before. I love how quick and easy the half double crochet stitch is, it’s also my favorite stitch so far. This kit or the finished project would make a great gift! I will buy this again in other colors.

Uggh. I love love love this pattern, and love working the pattern. As I noticed the ball of Nursery yarn depleting, whilst still having a long way to go, I realized that I needed to order another skein. UGH! This is why I purchased the kits! Everything is all in one, and USUALLY, every kit has lots of wool left over. So I had to order another skein and decided that paying 20 bucks shipping to arrive in 2 weeks, was a pain in the backside. Instead, I am driving 45 minutes from Guelph, ON to the closest store in BRANT, ON, to PICK UP my order in a few days. Every other kit I have bought from here has been incredible. ORDER AN ADDITIONAL NURSERY SKEIN, OR MAYBE MARY MAXIM SHOULD PUT THE ADDITIONAL SKIEN IN THE KIT!
I LOVE this pattern, however for ONCE, there was not enough Nursery Yarn to actually finish this. I ordered this a few months ago along with a bunch of other baby crochet kits ALL of which had enough yarn to make each blanket ALMOST two times. Had I known, I would have ordered an extra Nursery Wool. Very disappointing. I ordered more wool today - and decided to do the pick up at the store in Brant, ON. It is a 45-minute drive each way, but I can have the wool tomorrow and not pay 20 bucks shipping for it to arrive in 2 weeks. Frustrating, since these kits are supposed to cover everything.

I love this pattern. It is so easy yet looks difficult to make. Much different than most baby blankets and just thick enough for a Florida winter. This will be one most mothers would keep for their children to pass down through generations. One you wouldnt see everywhere. For a baby boy I think I would pick a variegated blue patterned yarn the same thickness as this yarn. Leave out the pink. The yarn in the kit splits a lot and you have to get used to that and compensate for that, but overall, I would still give it a 5.
Not enough of the main color "Nursery" for the entire project. Only half finished and one skein is nowhere near enough. Cannot purchase another skein as it is sold out. Not happy. I do love this pattern.
This is a cute pattern to work up. It could be done with many colors. However, I did have to order an extra skein of the variegated nursery color and with shipping, it was quite a price to pay for a kit that didn't have enough yarn in it to complete. That is why I only gave it 4 stars.
I was please with the feel and colors of the yarn. It is very soft and the colors are true to the image in the catalog. I have not made the blanket yet but the pattern seems to be clear.
