Knit these adorable baby booties with our vintage pattern. Pattern includes instructions to make booties from two different stitch patterns. Designed originally with Mary Maxim Twinkle fingering weight yarn, which offered 175 yds per 1 oz skein at the time. We offer a wonderful selection of fingering-weight yarns, including Mary Maxim Twinkle! Keep in mind that yardages have changed. Materials List: Mary Maxim Twinkle 1 skein makes 2 pr, knitting needles size U.S. 2 (2.75 mm), and optional ribbon and narrow lace. Intermediate knit. Baby Shawl PDL54, and Hooded Cardigan & Leggings pattern PDL216 are sold separately.
Stitch Requirements: Cast on, cast off, knit, purl, repeat, increase, decrease, stocking stitch.

It’s my first time following a pattern to knit something, and of course I am doing this because of PHM! But the pattern is pretty easy to follow and I’m making good progress- two sleeves done! Amaze amaze amaze! I bought the kit, and it comes with everything needed except for needles, which I appreciated so I could find a style of needle that work for me. I will probably be a lifelong Mary Maxim pattern purchaser now! If you’re on the fence and have beginner to intermediate knitting skills, try it. I was able to figure it out!
I got 2 skeins each in Deep Teal, Rich Red and Cottonwood. The colors are pretty with a light sheen and very soft. It's really nice to crochet with. I'm going to surprise my daughter with scarves when she visits from Georgia. She doesn't crochet so I try to keep her in throws and scarves plus blankets for her fur babies. I'm new to Mary Maxim, this will be my 2nd order for yarns, I can say I'm happy with my purchases.
