Crochet this afghan using our vintage pattern. The Baby Blossom baby afghan is crocheted in separate motifs, which are joined to create this delicate gift for baby. Made of soft, easy-care Mary Maxim Mellowspun, a DK sport-weight yarn that offered 420 yds per 4 oz skein at the time. Shop our extensive lines of sport yarns in today's modern colors to match your baby's room decor, including Mary Maxim Mellowspun. Keep in mind, yardages vary. Materials List: Main Color White 16 oz, CC Yellow 4 oz, crochet hook size U.S. 7 (4.50 mm). Finished size approx. 34 x 44" (86.5 x 112 cm).
Stitch Requirements: Chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, treble crochet, decrease, increase, repeat, slip stitch, through the back loop, color changes.

It’s my first time following a pattern to knit something, and of course I am doing this because of PHM! But the pattern is pretty easy to follow and I’m making good progress- two sleeves done! Amaze amaze amaze! I bought the kit, and it comes with everything needed except for needles, which I appreciated so I could find a style of needle that work for me. I will probably be a lifelong Mary Maxim pattern purchaser now! If you’re on the fence and have beginner to intermediate knitting skills, try it. I was able to figure it out!
I got 2 skeins each in Deep Teal, Rich Red and Cottonwood. The colors are pretty with a light sheen and very soft. It's really nice to crochet with. I'm going to surprise my daughter with scarves when she visits from Georgia. She doesn't crochet so I try to keep her in throws and scarves plus blankets for her fur babies. I'm new to Mary Maxim, this will be my 2nd order for yarns, I can say I'm happy with my purchases.
