Since it appears that everyone's go-to canvas for half a century, Darice, is apparently no longer available, and so many online outlets are charging $2-$3 per sheet for their substandard sock, I was overjoyed when I found I could get this substitute canvas, in bulk, at a respectful price. I have so far ordered two lots of this quantity and see no reason to look anywhere else so far. It is consistent throughout the pieces, stiff without being that ultra-stiff version you can sometimes get, and allows me to continue the hobby I have been enjoying for half a century. Thanks for keeping the hobby going.

Very pretty blanket. The yarn is soft and the details of the blanket make it so pretty.
The blanket pattern is easy to follow but I have two issues I’m not happy with. The yarn is fuzzy and thicker in a few places! There are other places in the yarn that are frayed. And more importantly, the instructions for the border are so confusing. I’m going to need to make my own design because I can’t begin to figure this one out
It's beautiful, like all the yarns I've ordered from Mary Maxim. I plan to make a baby blanket with it.
Lovely yarn, however I found that when I followed the pattern in the instructions given, the project wasn’t working up nicely since I think there were too many extra stitches maybe? I decided to start again and rather than skip one stitch in row 1, I skipped two like many people suggest online when doing a V stitch and it’s working up evenly and lovely. So not sure if there was a typo in the instructions but anyway; this fixed the problem. I also do a double crochet in the second chain at the end and the edges are super straight and even!
Yarn was very soft, but there were some breaks in the yarn with knots (multi color yarn). The border was confusing as others have indicated - I’m still working on it and hoping for the best!
It came with 8 balls of Mary Maxim Baby's best yarn in a size 2/Fine. You will need to have a 4 mm crochet hook. Pretty simple base (main part of blanket) crochet pattern if you have been crocheting for a while.. The border is what gets complicated. So would say it would be more towards an intermediate crocheter. Have only started working on this but so far I am quite happy with the yarn, the pattern, the quality of the yarn and shipping/packaging. (shipped in its own zippered bag)

I made this blanket in white, pink, and blue variegated yarn. It turned out beautifully and I will be giving it away at a baby shower in the very near future. It is a very nice light weight blanket in this soft baby yarn.

This is a very easy one-row repeat pattern. I don't know if I'm just not understanding, but why am I putting 146 stitches into a starting chain of 100? I started over twice and then did the starting chain with a slightly larger hook and tried to keep it loose to avoid "ruffling". It's still very taught at the bottom but I hope it will stretch out in blocking. I didn't see anyone else with this issue, so I figured it must be me.

Beautiful baby blanket! Yarn is of great quality. My only problem was with the border. After ripping out several times, I did one I found in another pattern and actually liked it better than the one shown.
The blanket instructions were pretty easy to follow until I got to the boarder. I tried researching the boarder on line but couldn't find anything. Still trying to figure it out. Will write more when I finish the blanket.

In instructions it states "repeat row 2 until piece measures about 28" would have liked instructions to state number of rows to do instead. Otherwise was fine.
