Use Mary Maxim Worsted Weight yarn to crochet this patriotic afghan. Originally created in 2009 with Mary Maxim Starlette, which offered 180 yds per skein at that time. Please note, color options and yardage may have changed. Also needed is a ball of Crochet Cotton for the stars. Requires crochet hooks sizes D-3 (3.25 mm) and K-10.5 (6.5 mm).

I Love this yarn. It works up so easily. I do suggest making cakes out of the skeins, if it tangles it’s hard to untangle. The key I found to that problem is to NEVER pull the yarn tight while your untangling it and use a crochet needle, it makes it easy to separate. Every item I make from this yarn just makes me buy more and everyone that sees it asks me what it is or for me to make them something.
