Indulge your creativity with this Hummingbird Afghan (graph-style) pattern. Originally created with Mary Maxim Starlette, which had 219 yds per skein at that time. Please note that color options and yardage have changed. Materials List: Natural (11 balls), Med Green, Pink, Med Pink (1 ball each); Dk Green, Dk Purple, Lt Pink, Med Blue, Yellow (70 yds ea); White, Black, Soft Green, Chocolate Brown, Lt Grey, Med Grey, Lt Blue (35 yds), and crochet hook size J/10 (6 mm). Finished size 48 x 60" (122 x 152.5 cm). Intermediate crochet.
Stitch Requirements: Chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increase, decrease, repeat, slip stitch, and color changes.

Great yarn - a full pound! I wish I could choose the color. I keep receiving beige.
Beautiful afghan and easy to follow instructions. To avoid big holes reverse the YO on the back side. Also, the border takes a k2 and then rib st for a count of 12. If you want a wider blanket, just add an additional 22 stitches to the casting on.
The pattern is so easy to follow and worked up very quickly. Love the finished product.

I have not started this yet. A friend had the completed blue one, it was beautiful so I purchased the same color. I have worked with this yarn in the past, and it was good.
I saw this on clearance and I had to order a bunch since I want to make an oversized throw blanket for my living room. I got the purple smoke for the main body of the blanket and lunar purple for a border. It's super soft and definitely a thicker ball than the regular bernat blanket. I haven't used it yet since I want to finish my current wip, but I'm super excited to use it. I might actually order more since it's on clearance.
