Stitch this afghan with Mary Maxim Worsted Weight yarn and this graph-style pattern, and you'll have a southwestern-inspired piece that measures 48 x 68" (122 x 173 cm)! While it was originally created with Mary Maxim Starlette yarn, which provided 190 yds per skein in those days, remember that yardage and colors may have shifted since then. Requires crochet hooks U.S. size H-8 (5 mm) and J-10 (6 mm).

Great yarn - a full pound! I wish I could choose the color. I keep receiving beige.
Beautiful afghan and easy to follow instructions. To avoid big holes reverse the YO on the back side. Also, the border takes a k2 and then rib st for a count of 12. If you want a wider blanket, just add an additional 22 stitches to the casting on.
The pattern is so easy to follow and worked up very quickly. Love the finished product.

I have not started this yet. A friend had the completed blue one, it was beautiful so I purchased the same color. I have worked with this yarn in the past, and it was good.
I saw this on clearance and I had to order a bunch since I want to make an oversized throw blanket for my living room. I got the purple smoke for the main body of the blanket and lunar purple for a border. It's super soft and definitely a thicker ball than the regular bernat blanket. I haven't used it yet since I want to finish my current wip, but I'm super excited to use it. I might actually order more since it's on clearance.
I Love this yarn and would love to order the vegetable sock yarn in the near future.
