National Craft Month- Free Pattern Download Fridays

National Craft Month Free Pattern Download Fridays

March is National Craft Month and we are celebrating you: our favorite crafters! For the rest of March, we will be posting 5 free patterns every Friday. These patterns are only available for a limited time and will be removed from our blog the following Tuesday morning. Make sure to subscribe to our blog so you never miss a FREE PATTERN DOWNLOAD. The theme for this week’s downloads is Flower Market! We are just a few weeks away from spring, or maybe you have a “Spring Break” that you're looking forward to. Either way, warm weather means Road Trips and Flower Markets. We want you to start your warmer weather activities in style. FIVE FREE PATTERN DOWNLOAD FRIDAYS! For our first limited time only free pattern download, we are featuring our Garden Trellis Afghan designed by Gwen Hewitt. This pattern is knit on a 36”circular size 9 (5 mm) needle using size 4 Medium Worsted Weight Yarn. The flowers are crocheted using an F hook or 3.75 mm. We recommend using our Starlette Yarn or our Maximum Value Yarn. This afghan was originally crafted using Caron Simply Soft and Bernat Satin.

Next, we are featuring our Basketweave Shoulder Bag. This was originally crocheted using Sugar-n-Cream Cotton but is no longer available, we recommend using and our Mary Maxim Crochet Cotton or any of our sport weight yarn.  This pattern also uses one of our favorite basketweave stitches. We’ve used the basketweave stitch on our dog cowl with a nice tutorial on working (Front Post Double Crochet) FPDC and BPDC (Back Post Double Crochet) in this pattern referred to as (double crochet/raised front) dc/rf and (double crochet/raised back) dc/rb. This project requires 5 balls of Sugar and Cream Cotton (125 yards).

Up next is our Lacy Garter Cardigan. This cardigan is knit using a size 6 (4.00mm) 24” circular needle and sport weight yarn sized from Small to X-Large. We recommend using a Sport Weight yarn like our Mellowspun or Mary Maxim Fresh to knit this cardigan.

Thanks so much for these free patterns.

The last two patterns do not link to a pdf, as the first 3 do.

Hi B, it looks like 2 of the links directed you to the Pattern’s landing page, I updated the links and now you should be directed to the pdf. That should make it easier now. Thanks for stopping by and downloading our patterns.
