E’Claire Makery's Top 5 Designs Made with Mary Maxim Yarn.

E’Claire Makery's Top 5 Designs Made with Mary Maxim Yarn.

Gwen Bautista |

Hi Makers! It’s Claire Goodale from the crochet blog E’Claire Makery (www.eclairemakery.com), and I’m so excited to get to take over the Mary Maxim blog and social media today. Getting to work with Mary Maxim has been one of my favorite collaborations that I’ve worked with in my crochet business, and I absolutely love working with their team and yarn!

I’ve been crocheting since I was seven years old when my grandmother taught me how to chain stitch one cold winter night. She sat all of us grandchildren down on the couch, determined to teach us how to crochet. I was instantly hooked on it, and have been in love with it ever since! Since I fell in love with crochet, I’ve now started a crochet blog where I create free crochet patterns and resources to help crocheters have the confidence to create.

As I’ve been designing crochet patterns, I’ve created everything from amigurumi patterns to garments. Some of these different types of designs I’ve been able to create using Mary Maxim yarn! So today, I’m going to share my top 5 crochet designs that I’ve created using Mary Maxim's wonderful yarn. They’re all perfect for summertime, and can be used all year long as well!

My Top 5 Favorite Mary Maxim Designs

1. Summer Wrap Top (https://wp.me/pac8z0-12n)

This crochet top pattern I created using Mary Maxim’s latest yarn Simply Natural. Let me tell you, I love that yarn so much! It’s a cotton bamboo blend that creates the most wonderful garments to wear. This design is a beginner-friendly raglan style wrap top pattern that is simple and beautiful. It comes in sizes XS-5X so that it works for all different body types. It’s one of my goto summer garments, and I know you’ll love it too! You can get the free pattern on my blog here (https://wp.me/pac8z0-12n).

2. Butterfly Cardigan (https://wp.me/pac8z0-Vr)

This crochet cardigan pattern was made using Mary Maxim Natural Alpaca Tweed yarn. Soft and light, this yarn is great for making cozy garments that can be worn any time of year. I used a play on the granny square stitch to create a breathable and comfortable fabric for this breezy cardigan. Its open sleeves give it a flowing drape. The pattern is made from two rectangles and it’s a perfect beginner crochet garment if you’re new to garment making! You can get the free pattern on my blog here (https://wp.me/pac8z0-Vr).

3. Sunshine Beach Bag (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sunshine-beach-bag)

One of my favorite things to crochet is a bag, especially when I get to use the tapestry crochet technique to make them! The possibilities are endless with what you can make, and I loved getting to use Mary Maxim’s Titan yarn to create this beach bag. It was inspired by growing up by the beach and seeing all of the amazing sunsets over the ocean. The bulky Titan yarn creates a nice thick fabric for toting around your favorite beach items, and it’s fun design makes it perfect to use all summer long. You can get the pattern in my shop here.(https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sunshine-beach-bag)

4. Sunflower Wall Hanging (https://wp.me/pac8z0-MC)

One of my favorite Mary Maxim yarns is their Starlette yarn. It’s a super soft worsted weight, and it comes in so many amazing colors. I used it to crochet this fun summery sunflower wall hanging that brings a bit of nature into your home. It’s a simple tapestry crochet pattern that is a great first-time colorwork pattern. You can even use different color combinations of the Starlette yarn to turn this into different flowers! You can get the free pattern on my blog here (https://wp.me/pac8z0-MC).

5. Pizza My Heart Amigurumi (https://wp.me/pac8z0-JO)

Maybe you like making smaller crochet patterns and prefer amigurumi. Well, I’ve got an adorable crochet plushie for you! I used Mary Maxim’s Amigurumi Yarn, a cotton blend yarn, to make this heart-shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day. Pizza is one of my favorite things, and this pizza plushie is one of my favorite amigurumi designs I’ve made. Plus it comes with a video tutorial, so if you’ve never made amigurumi before, it can help walk you through each step! You can get the free pattern on my blog here (https://wp.me/pac8z0-JO).

I hope you love all of these designs! If you love these ones, you can find a bunch of other free crochet patterns and tutorials on my blog www.eclairemakery.com.
