Gwen Bautista |

We celebrated Take Your Child to Work Day this week with some of our favorite people.  We teamed up with these exceptionally creative kids to bring you 4 of their favorite crafts from Mary Maxim. fun crafts for kids

Adult Coloring Books!

We call them Adult Coloring books but there really isn't an age limit on coloring.  Victoria highly recommends the Unicorn Book by breakthrough coloring artist Angela Van Dam. Unicorn colorng.jpgm23836

Bernat Alize Yarn

Our kid creators decided they really liked being able to knit without using needles.  The Bernat Alize yarn is excellent for teaching some knitting techniques without losing stitches.  This is great for young knitters who may not be dexterous enough yet.  With these simple minky loops, you can create a lot of fun knitting combinations. Diamond Dotz.jpgDiamond Dotz

Diamond Dotz are a favorite for all ages.  We carry some larger projects which require patience and multiple sittings to complete the piece, and we also carry smaller Diamond Dotz projects making them perfect for many ages and stages of creative development.  Our creative kids think Diamond Dotz projects are great for days when they can't go outside and play. m25845diamond1.jpgDD2dd3

Latch Hook

These kids love to craft, and like most kids, they love to use their creativity to make something special.  Latch hook crafts are a great way for them to make something practical for themselves from scratch.  The Garden Gate Latch Work Rug is fantastic for beginners.  Kit includes: pre-cut acrylic yarn, illustrated instructions with an easy to follow chart and polyester/cotton canvas. This project has a canvas that has larger holes which is more comfortable for beginners to learn the technique and allows for quicker projects. Latch hook tool not included. m26038.jpg
