Two Brothers Blankets

Hi! I’m Michelle Ferguson of Two Brothers Blankets and am thrilled to be taking over Mary Maxim's Social Media Profiles today.  I have been crocheting for 7 years and designing crochet patterns for 5 years. My designs consist mostly of women’s garments and accessories, but I also have some men’s, children’s and home décor patterns! Make sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Ravelry.  We have a excellent crochet community and always have a lot of fun.  A little about me:  I live in Florida with my husband, 2 sons, and 2 dogs. When I’m not crocheting, I love doing things like reading, spending time with friends, and going to the beach with my family! I'd love to learn a little more about you.  Tell me about your favorite crochet helper in the comment section.

Earlier this year I was given the opportunity to try the new Simply Natural Yarn from Mary Maxim, I was so excited to be able to try it before it was available for purchase and I knew I wanted to design something special with it. It is a cotton/bamboo blend that is a DK (#3) weight yarn. I designed a cool summer tank top with it that features simple but trendy eyelets throughout the top. It is called the Blushing Eyelets Tank, and the pattern is available to purchase in my Ravelry shop and in my Etsy shop.

This pattern is a top-down workup with absolutely no sewing involved. It uses the most basic beginner stitches, such as single crochet and chains. After working some swatches with the Simply Natural yarn, I knew I wanted to design something that would feature its wonderful stitch definition. So, I decided to go with those very basic stitches. I love the eyelet tops that are currently on trend right now, so I went with a simple chain stitch combo to give it that eyelet feature all the way down the tank top.  I love that anyone with a love of crochet should be able to pick up this pattern and make a spectacular garment.

This yarn is so great for summer crochet pieces! It is lightweight and soft, making it very comfortable on the skin. It is also great for blankets and accessories. Plus, with a wonderful variety of colors, you can really get creative with this yarn!

I am looking forward to using Simply Natural yarn for future projects! Thanks for reading about my Blushing Eyelets Tank crochet pattern. You can find my patterns on Ravelry and Etsy!
