Hook- G (4.00mm) or size hook needed to obtain gauge.

J-10 also needed to chain drawstring.

Gauge: Rounds 1-10 measure 4.5 inches across

POPCORN stitch: 6 dc in sp indicated, remove hook from last st insert into first dc of group and put loop back on hook, pull through.

FPdc- front post double crochet

BPdc- back post double crochet

Using MC, Ch 2.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in 1st ch, sl st in first sc to join.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in same st and in each st around; sl st in first sc to join.  (12 sc)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, 2 sc in next stitch, *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around, sl st in first sc to join. (18 sc)

Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around,  sl st in first sc to join. (24 sc)

Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in each of  next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around,  sl st in first sc to join. (30 sc)

Rnd 6: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around,  sl st in first sc to join. (36 sc)

Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st ; rep from * around,  sl st in first sc to join. (42 sc)

Rnd 8: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in each of next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st ; rep from * around, sl st in first sc to join. (48 sc)

Rnd 9: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in each of next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 7 sts, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around, sl st in first sc to . (54 sc)

Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in each of next 7 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st ; rep from * around, sl st in first sc to join. (60 sc)

Rnd 11: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in each of next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 9 sts, 2 sc in next st ; rep from * around, sl st in first sc to join. (66 sc)

Rnd 12: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in each of next 9 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 10 sts, 2 sc in next st; rep from *  around, sl st in first sc to join. (72 sc)

Rnd 13: Ch 1, sc in same sp, sc in each of next 10 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in each of next 11 sts, 2 sc in next st; rep from * around, sl st in first sc to join. (78 sc)

Rnd 14: Ch 1, working back loops only,  sc in same st, and each st around.  Sl st in first sc to join. (78 sc)

Rnd 15: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in each st around,  sl st in top of beg chain 3 to join. (78 dc)

Rnd 16: Ch 3, dc in next st, *FPdc around next st, dc in each of next 2 sts; rep from * around,  sl st in top of beg ch 3 to join. (52 dc, 26 FPdc)

Rnd 17: Ch 3, dc in next dc, *FPdc around previous FPdc, dc in each of next 2 dc ; rep from *around,  sl st in top of beg ch-3. ( 52dc , 26 fpdc)

Rnds 18-22: As Rnd 17.  Fasten off after Rnd 22.

Rnd 23: With right side facing, join CC1 with sl st, ch3, dc in each st around sl st in top of beg ch-3 to join. (78 dc)

Rnd 24: Ch 3, dc in each st around,  sl st in top of beg ch-3 to join. (78 dc)

Rnd 25: Ch 1, pull the loop on hook loose, BPdc around same st, BPdc around. Sl st in top of beg BPdc to join.

Rnd 26: Ch 3, dc in each st around,  sl st to in top of beg ch-3 to join. (78 dc)

Rnd 27: Ch 1, pull the loop on hook loose, BPdc around same st, BPdc around. Sl st to join on first in top of beg BPdc to join.

Rnds 28- 31: Rep Rnds 26-27

Rnd 32: (decrease round) Ch 3, dc in each of next 2 sts  dc2tog, * dc in each of the next 2 sts, dc2tog around to the last 2 dc, dc in last 2 dc,   sl st  in top of beg ch-3 to join. (59 sts)

Rnd 33: ch 4 (counts as dc and ch 1), skip next st, *dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st around to last 2 sts, ch 2 sl st to join in the 3rd chain of starting ch. (29 ch 1 sps) Fasten off.

Rnd 34: Join CC 2 with a sl st in any dc, ch 1, sc in same dc, *popcorn st in next ch sp, ch 1, sc in next dc, next ch sp and dc, around working a sc in the last ch sp. Sl st in beg sc to join, Fasten off.

Ruffle: With CC 1, join with sl st in any unworked loop from Rnd 23, ch 1, sc in same st, * 3 dc in next 2 sts, sc in next st around sl st to join

Strap: Divide remaining skein into two balls. Using larger hook size J and two strands of yarn, ch desired length for arm or wrist strap. Weave into ch spaces in round 34, Sl st the ends together, fasten off.
