Patrón afgano Cali-co

I enjoyed crocheting this afghan.

I just finished the Cali-Co afghan.
I liked the pattern it was easy to follow.

The Afghan, has pretty colors!! It's a beautiful blanket!!

I really like this & was anxious to start but Mary Maxim doesn’t carry a suitable yarn for the variegated squares. The yarn used in photo has been discontinued. I called customer service & was referred to their online site. No help at all. The variegated MAKES the color scheme of the blanket. So the pattern sits here & I am without a good substitute. I ordered 3 different yarns - they’re all striping which does not work. I need PRINTED yarn.
Mary Maxim - don’t sell patterns w/discontinued yarn unless you have/recommend a suitable substitute.
Very disappointed.

Changed the colors to shades of purple for a friend of mine. Love it

Had to contact Mary Maxim for yarn quantities. I did receive an answer but should have been clear in the pattern instructions.

I've long admired this easy-to-make pattern basic granny square design and only wish I had ordered when the afghan kit was still available for purchase. Not all the yarn & colours shown are available now, but fortunately I have yarn I can substitute in this pattern. With just one type of type of square to make, one is assured of achieving a good result the first time making this afghan. The size of squares and colours are fully customizable. An excellent project for new crocheters.

I am still working on it but I think it's going to be really pretty. My sister-n-law is a quilter and so I'm going to give it to her as a gift. The pattern is very easy to follow and it's working up fast.

Love the pattern that’s why I purchased it. I then contacted you and was advised that one of the colours of yarn required was not available. Not sure what I am going to do now. Purchased patterns from you in the past and you always included pattern and yarn required in a kit. Not sure why this cannot be done now. Made things a lot easier.

I wanted to order the yarn for the project. As Mary Maxim is closed in Paris due to the pandemic , untried ordering on line... WOW.. it was expensive... if I was able to order and pick up in Paris myself...I would save 60.00. Needless to say I didn't order it. Guess I will wait until it reopens. I refuse to pay such a rediclous amount.

Is this a join as you go pattern? I had sewing or joint squares. But the pattern looks beautiful

I love this pattern. I just completed this pattern for the first time, and I definitely will be making it again for gifts to friends and family. This pattern worked up very easily and the directions were a breeze to follow. Assembly was not complex and the finished project is just as pictured.
