I was very happy with my yarn! I ordered 12 , I got 9 of 1 color and 3 of another color. Plenty of each to make lots of items. I received the cones which I was really happy about . I got a nice mixture of the small skeins that came with each one. This should last me a long time but I would definitely order again. What a great value!

The Vintage Wallpaper Throw is an easy and fun project! I loved crocheting this throw and took it everywhere. People would come up to me and ask me about it and want to touch the yarn which is very soft. Of course I had to excitedly tell them all about Bag O Day and her easy tutorials! She does have a tutorial of this throw which I used a couple times for the border. I have never put a border on a blanket before. I love how quick and easy the half double crochet stitch is, it’s also my favorite stitch so far. This kit or the finished project would make a great gift! I will buy this again in other colors.

Recently purchased 4 skeins of Big Twist Sparkle yarn. My granddaughter’s favorite color is purple,so got 2purple and 2 white. Made her a small throw blanket for college and it turned out very “ sparkly”. Had a little trouble with the thin thread of sparkles, but after using it, I would definitely purchase it again. There were even washing instructions in the info. Machine wash, lay flat to dry. Very helpful. Thanks again, Mary Maxim! Very satisfied,as usual.

I loved this Noah’s ark blanket. Easy to follow pattern, only single stitch all the way. The only challenging part is changing color which I love. I’m self taught. I watch YouTube on how to change color. If I can do it, you can too.

I was so excited to order and receive the Noah’s Ark crochet kit. Although I only wanted the pattern (not available that way) I went ahead and ordered kit. I’m so dissatisfied disappointed and upset with the Mary Maxim Starlette yarn. I was thinking that because the blanket is for a baby or small child the yarn would be softer. It’s not. Also figure at the price I paid, the yarn would be a better quality. Nope. It’s rough and splits all the time. I’m not a fan and would’ve had more luck with the cheap generic yarn at any big box store. I won’t order from here again. The only good thing and the reason for the 2 stars is I did get the pattern and chart to use later for another grandchild. Next time you might think about offering the pattern by itself instead of subjecting us to the awful yarn.

I knew this is a graphigan, but I didn't know I was following a graph pattern instead of written pattern. It's cute & I may try it again some day. Instead I used the yarn and bought a pattern to help me make appliques. The yarn is wonderful, but the graph isn't my cup of tea. I didn't feel right taking off points when there's so much yarn & the graph & instructions we great! I just don't have the time or patience it needs to do the creator justice.

I am an experienced crocheter and this is absolutely driving me insane. It is extremely difficult having to keep track of so many colors at once and having to start and stop and start and stop new swatches of color. I can only stand to work on this for about an hour or so and then have to put it away. Unless you have a LOT OF PATIENCE you do not want to work on this project. Other reviews loved this yarn. I did not, I found that the twist is not quite enough and easily splits and comes apart. I can’t wait to get it done as I am annoyed and tired of counting and recounting to get the pattern to work out.

I just started this and already I can’t stand it. No matter how many times I count I mess up every single row. The yarn keeps splitting on me which makes it even more annoying. Just too much counting for me. As the rate I am going I will be lucky to finish by April when the baby is due even though I am starting in September. Maybe I just need to get onto the graph but I can only stand to do a couple rows at a time. Already taken me over a week to get 10 rows done.

This blanket may only be a single crochet stitch but using multiple colors of yarn at the same time is what makes this challenging. I did enjoy making this.

I had never done a graphaghan before. The graph was large and easy to read. There was plenty of yarn in the kit. I was very pleased with this purchase.
This turned out beautiful. Just love working with Starlett wool and such great colours.
