Teje esta adorable manta con hilo Mary Maxim Worsted Weight y este patrón gráfico. Originalmente hecha con hilo Mary Maxim Starlette , que tenía 180 yardas por madeja. I love to crochet, I love hummingbirds. What could be better. I have not tried mosaic crochet with color changes in the rows. For me this is a new challenge. I do have to say that although I have not completed this project, I have found that there is a mistake in the written pattern in row 25. (I'm not sure if this issue has been addressed yet. I did buy this kit approximately 3 years ago)
In row 25, the written pattern states fldc below in next 39 st, that part should be fldc in next 42 st.
I'm not sure if there are any other errors but in any case, I am thrilled with the afghan kit and enjoying the new technique.

This pattern was easy to follow. The graph was well done. The color of the sky was written to be natural; I changed the color to light blue. I also changed the border a little as I ran out of one color. I could not find these yarns at Mary Maxim and purchased elsewhere. The pattern does not give the quantity of yarn by weight, only the number of balls required, which can be frustrating. How much is "one ball"?

This is my first project using a chart and I think it turned out beautifully. My only complaint is that there were no yarn amounts listed. The term ball or skein is very subjective when it comes to size. I would have liked to have seen every other row on the chart, a different color to ease eye fatigue. I printed the chart and taped the bottom half together and used 2 colors of highlighters to keep the rose, distinguished one from the other. I also printed an arrow of which direction those colors went in order to prevent confusion. I do have to say this was a great experience overall though, and have already ordered the Noah’s ark pattern. .

I’ve yet to make this but as looking into instructions, they seem they’re going to be easy tread and work with.
I have made the Jungle babies blanket and thought the pattern for Fran Tard friends would be similar. I was wrong, the chart pattern for Farm Yard Friends is not coloured. You get difficult to read symbols for the colours instead. There is no single page chart so you are going from page to page trying to follow the pattern. I have never worked with such a convoluted pattern. It made for very difficult and slow progress. Very disappointed.

Received the kit a couple of weeks ago, so far so good since I haven’t stated crocheting yet. The pattern appears easy to follow, checked the yarn list, it’s all there, however, can’t tell if there is enough in the partial skeins to complete the project, will keep you posted. Thanks for asking for my rating, before I get stated.
