I’m making a marled throw for my g-grandson holding two strands Premier Colorfusion DK yarn. I’m using a yarn strand from each end of the skein to develop the marled design. The throw in the Blue Jean color is turning out perfect for a 12yr old boy. I’ve added stripes of different colors every 12 rows throughout the throw.
The Premier Colorfusion Dk yarn is soft & nice to work with. I recommend this yarn.

I ordered the kit in pink tones. First I surprised to see that the Prism yarn that was in the quilt kit is hand wash only, lay flat to dry. On a BABY BLANKET??? Next, the pattern instructions so far don't look like the picture. The instructions are easy to do, but I'm disappointed to get a kit that has such special wash instructions.

I'm just in the early stages of making this blanket. But, as always, I really like and appreciate Mary Maxim's patterns. They are pretty, different from many other patterns you see in that they are unique (i.e., not just a slight alteration to a pattern you've seen time and time again), the instructions are easy to follow, and I always have such fun making them.
