I love this pattern and the directions are easy to follow but the yarn not so much. The Cottonwood yarn is not soft at all, it does not glide easily over the crochet hook. Also the two yarns are of different gauges, which I find very disappointing.
This is a very attractive afghan. The pattern isn't hard to do, but isn't easy to memorize. It's a very heavy afghan and I'm doing my border differently than the pattern. I love the way the pattern is working out.

I’ve been making blankets for gifts and I decided to make one for myself. I have had my eye on this one for a while so I gave myself a treat. I’m still working on it, almost done. It’s nice yarn and a warm but not bulky blanket. It’s not a difficult mosaic pattern but it’s one that requires attention.

The instructions are quite easy to follow, though I wish there were more photos for the second half of the pattern. The colorful yarn is great but the white one could be softer. Overall a great project and the outcome is quite striking.
